what is the principle of selection of spheroidizing agent:
First, the ball agent on the casting cast tissue requirements: cast ferrite ball ink cast iron selection of low rare earth ball agent, cast pearlite ball ink cast iron selection of copper or nickel-containing ball agent;
Second, the content of interference elements in liquid iron: if the interference elements, such as titanium, vanadium, chromium, tin, antimony, lead, zinc and other high content, must choose a high content of rare earth spheroidizing agent. If the content of interference elements is low (the total amount is less than 0.1%), pure magnesium or magnesium alloy spheroidizing agent can be selected;
Third, the sulfur content of molten iron: when the sulfur content is high, the spheroidizing agent with high content of rare earth and magnesium is generally used. If conditions permit, desulfurization treatment can be carried out. When the sulfur content is low, the rare earth ferrosilicon and magnesium nodularizer with low rare earth and low magnesium can be selected;
Cooling conditions of 4. castings: under the condition of metal mold casting with faster cooling speed, low rare earth spheridizer can be selected. Yttrium-based heavy rare earth spheridizer can be used for large thick section castings with slow cooling rate.
